What is the Linguaskill examination?

Linguaskill is a quick and user-friendly online test that lets you check your level of English. It tests all four language skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

At KU, it is obligatory for students to pass only the ‘reading’ and ‘listening’ modules. The other two modules are optional.

Linguaskill gives you a full picture of your language skills, with a fast and accurate way to test all four language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking.
Linguaskill is available in two variants: general and business.
Linguaskill General - tests the common language, used in everyday life, making it an ideal type of exam to take when applying for admission to a university or when finishing one’s studies. The test topics include education and work, making plans for the future, travel, and technology.
Linguaskill Business - tests the English language used in business and corporate environments. The test topics include buying and selling products or services, office life, business travel, and human resources.

At KU, it is obligatory for students to pass only the ‘reading’ and ‘listening’ modules within the framework of Linguaskill Business. The other two modules are optional.

The exam can be taken by both KU students and individuals not studying at KU.

The Linguaskill test at KU is conducted through the Linguaskill Agent - a Lang LTC examination centre.
