What are SCOPUS and Web of Science databases? Should I register there?

Scopus – is a database run and managed by Elsevier, containing information about scientific publications such as articles published in scientific journals, books, conference materials, and patents. More information: here.

Web of Science – the platform contains various databases, including abstract-bibliometric databases, i.e. citation indexes, and derivatives of bibliometric databases, which include basic bibliographic details and information about citations from journals included in the Journal Citation Reports list. Ranking based on Impact Factor (IF).
In order to register in WoS, please use the following link.

An ORCID account makes it possible to exchange information about publications with the author’s profile in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Therefore, it’s a good idea to connect (synchronise) the said accounts with each other once they’re set up.
