What is the Linguaskill test like?

Linguaskill is a quick and user-friendly online test, which includes the following modules:

• reading and listening (combined) – The reading and Listening module is adaptive, so there is no fixed number of questions. The duration of the test is 60 to 85 minutes. The test results are available within 12 hours.

• writing – The test consists of two parts. In the first part,

candidates read a short reminder, usually an e-mail, and use the information provided to write an e-mail of at least 50 words. In the second part, candidates read a short text outlining a scenario and respond using the information provided in the scenario and three scores. Candidates will write a letter or a report of at least 180 words. Candidates enter their answers using a computer keyboard. The answers are marked automatically by the computer. The results will be available within 12 hours. The duration of the test is 45 minutes.

• speaking – The Speaking module is taken using a computer with a headset (microphone and headphones). The questions are presented to the candidate using the computer screen and the headset, and their answers are recorded and evaluated by the examiners. The results are available within 48 hours. The duration of the test is 15 minutes (5 parts).
