Who can receive an assistance grant? On what grounds? How many times? The amount of the assistance grant.

  1. An assistance grant may be awarded to students (of both full-time and part-time studies) who have found themselves temporarily in a difficult life situation. The applying student should describe their difficult situation in sufficient detail and provide the necessary documents to prove it. 
  2. An assistance grant may be applied for by a student who have found themselves temporarily in a difficult life situation. “Have found themselves” - meaning that something has happened, something has changed, there is a difference between the normal, usual situation and the new, difficult one.  In the application, one has to provide specific details: dates, facts, events, description of the financial situation before finding oneself in a difficult life situation and after finding oneself in a difficult life situation - to show the difference.
  3. An assistance grant is a form of immediate, one-time help. Students may obtain an assistance grant twice in an academic year.
  4. The amount of the assistance grant, which is a one-off payment, is determined each time by the Grants Committee (the amount may not be lower than PLN 100.00).
