Scholarships and grants students may apply for

Applications need to be submitted to the Office for Scholarships and for Students with Special Needs, scholarships and grants are awarded by the Scholarship/Grants Committee:

1) maintenance grant 
A maintenance grant may be applied for by a student in difficult material circumstances, whose monthly per capita family income does not exceed the amount of PLN 1,051.70.
Students may apply for a maintenance grant in an increased amount in particularly justified cases, e.g. when living in Warsaw or its surroundings, when the commute from their place of residence to the university would make it difficult or impossible for them to study.

 2) assistance grant
An assistance grant may be applied for by a student who have found themselves temporarily in a difficult life situation. An assistance grant is a one-off, short-term form of support.

3) special grant for disabled persons
A special grant for disabled persons may be applied for by a disabled student on the basis of a valid disability certificate issued by a relevant authority.

4) rector’s scholarship 
The rector’s scholarship can be applied for in October by a student whose academic performance in the previous academic year was outstanding, which means an arithmetic average grade of at least 4.50 OR who can demonstrate sports achievements in a competition at least at a national level OR who can demonstrate scientific/artistic achievements. The rector’s scholarship is awarded for the period of an academic year.

5) minister’s scholarship
The minister’s scholarship may be applied for by a student who can demonstrate significant academic/artistic achievements related to their studies, or significant sports achievements.
The scholarship is granted by the minister in charge of higher education at the request of the Rector of KU.

6) academic scholarship of the Kozminskis Foundation
All matters should be dealt with directly with the foundation, the application should also be submitted to the foundation, without the involvement of the Office for Scholarships and for Students with Special Needs – link
