How can I justify my absence from: classes/course assessment/examination?

A student may address their academic teacher with a request to be excused for their absence from class immediately after the cause of their absence ceases to exist. The academic teacher may excuse the student for their absence from class, especially when the cause of this absence involves illness or significant fortuitous events. The academic teacher may specify the scope of material which the student has to make up for, and the form in which the student may obtain credit for the course.

Absence from an assessment or an examination needs to be excused by submitting an application together with an excuse note justifying the student’s absence no later than within 3 days following the date of the assessment or examination they were absent from. The application shall be submitted via KU’s electronic application platform My Applications (https://my.kozminski.edu.pl). A decision in this matter shall be taken immediately by the Rector.

Student’s non-excused absence or their withdrawal from taking part in an assessment or taking an examination on the first attempt date or as a retake (second attempt) results in a fail grade being entered into the documentation of the course of studies (student records).
